Abstract
This paper presents an analytic method allowing us to take into accoun t the multiple scattering effect in heterogeneous media made with sphe rical inclusions dispersed in a dielectric matrix. The Mie formalism u sed in the case of a single sphere, is extended to calculate the multi ple scattered fields between two particles. The translation addition t heorem for vector spherical waves functions is used to express the fie ld scattered by one sphere in terms of the spherical coordinates of th e other spheres and impose the boundary conditions. Numerical results of RCS and scattering diagrams of systems of two spheres are compared with free-space measurements made by using vectorial network analyzer.
