Abstract
A three-dimensional SOFT (Self-Organizing Finite-element Tessellation) mesh generator, based on self organizing topology-preserving feature maps, is developed for electromagnetic field problems. User-supplied p robability function controls density of the graded mesh, and local mes h refinements are easily incorporated. Numerical results show that the SOFT algorithm improves not only mesh quality but also calculation ac curacy.
