Abstract
The aim of this work is to carry out a two-dimensional, non-linear, ti me-stepped Finite-Element simulation of a symmetrical short-circuit in a synchronous machine. Computed results of currents and rotorical tor que are presented as well as a comparison between computed reactances and test values.
