Abstract
UV spectra of 17 paro-Y-snbstituted styrenes, 8 para Y-substituted alp ha-methylstyrenes and 20 para-Y-substituted alpha,beta,beta-trifluoros tyrenes were measured and correlated against spin-delocalization subst ituent constants (sigma) with confidence levels above 99.9%.
