Abstract
We present experimental results on the angular distribution of the Lig ht scattered by a one-dimensional gold-coated randomly rough surface i n a conical configuration. The term conical refers to the case in whic h the plane of incidence makes an oblique angle with respect to the ge nerators of the surface. The surface profile of our sample constitutes a good approximation to a Gaussian random process with a Gaussian cor relation function. Effects related to the phenomenon of enhanced backs cattering are observed.
