Bf. Abramovic et al., ELECTROCHEMICAL STUDY OF THE PERSULFATE ALPHA,ALPHA'-DIPYRIDILE-SILVER(I) SYSTEM, ACH, models in chemistry, 131(6), 1994, pp. 719-730
Voltammetry and controlled-current potentiometry with a negatively pol
arized electrode coupled to SCE were employed to study the system pers
ulphate-alpha,alpha'-dipyridile in the presence and absence of silver(
I). Platinum, gold, palladium, graphite, and glassy-carbon were used a
s indicator electrodes. Controlled-current potentiometry with platinum
indicator electrode was employed to follow the kinetics of the system
and to determine the partial reaction order with respect to each comp
onent, including the effect of halides on the course of the reaction.
Besides, the possibilities of using the title indicator system in the
determination of either silver or halide ions were studied.
