G. Kuncova et M. Fialova, OPTICAL OXYGEN SENSOR-BASED ON METALLOORGANIC COMPOUND IMMOBILIZED BYSOL-GEL TECHNIQUE, Biotechnology techniques, 9(3), 1995, pp. 175-178
Optical sensors suitable for monitoring of O-2 in wafer medium were pr
epared by immobilization of metallo-organic complexes in xerogels crea
ted by sol-gel technique and applied to optical fibre tip or glass sli
des by dipping. Tris (1, 10-phenanthroline)ruthenium (II) chloride was
immobilized on the tip of optical fibre. The fluorescence spectra of
the complex were sensitive to O-2 in water solution. The sensitivity o
f absorption spectra of bis(histidinato)cobalt (II) to O-2 and pH was
examinated both in the solution of precursors of silica sol-gel glasse
s and in the complex-containing coating of glass slides.
