Tr. Yan et Tt. Lin, PURIFICATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF A BETA-CYCLODEXTRIN GLUCOSYLTRANSFERASE FROM AN ALKALOPHILIC BACILLUS SP, Biotechnology techniques, 9(3), 1995, pp. 215-220
A beta-cyclodextrin glucosyltransferase was purified from alkalophilic
Bacillus sp. No. 562 over 64-fold with a yield of 32%. Its molecular
size was estimated to be 170 kDa by gel filtration and 82 kDa by SDS-P
AGE, with a pI of 7.2. The enzyme showed optimum activity at 65 degree
s C and pH 7.0. It was stable from 0 to 70 degrees C and from pH 7.0 t
o 11.0. The enzyme was specifically inhibited by Fe2+ and Fe3+.
