Abstract
An extremely rare case of erythema multiforme associated with dermatop hytosis by Trichophyton rubrum infection was reported in a 19-year-old woman. She had a reddish plaque resembling annular ringworm on her le ft arm. Treatment with an antifungal cream (clotrimazole) on the infec ted site cleared the condition in three weeks. Spontaneous regression of erythema multiforme in different parts of the body was recognized w hen the ringworm infection resolved. In recent years, only two cases h ave been reported in the English literature.
