Abstract
An active sits model for enzyme catalysed Baeyer-Villiger reactions is proposed and validated by transformation of the tricyclic ketone 6; B aeyer-Villiger reactions (and Baeyer-Villigerases) are classified by t he stereochemistry of the hydroxyperoxide intermediate.
