Abstract
Siliceous cubic Y (FAU) and hexagonal Y (EMT) materials are synthesise d and characterised. The effect of varying the amount of template (cro wn ethers) and of adding fluoride ions to the synthesis gel on the mor phology and crystal size of product crystals is discussed. Smaller, mo re uniform, crystals were obtained when fluoride ions were added to th e synthesis mixtures.
