Abstract
We present a Monte Carlo simulation of a model of a twisted nematic di splay on a lattice starting from purely microscopic interactions. We v isualize the simulated display calculating optical textures under cros sed polarizers corresponding to the Monte Carlo microscopic configurat ions. We also investigate the orientational order and the molecular or ganisations in the different regions of the lattice, introducing and c alculating suitable order parameters.
