Abstract
The Instrumentation and Control of the nuclear plant for the French su bmarines propulsion is submitted to highly specific constraints. This has required implementation of various innovative solutions. The Instr umentation and Control of the new generation of nuclear reactor (Sous- marin Nucleaire Lanceur d'Engins Nouvelle Generation SNLE NG, Porte-Av ions Charles de Gaulle PA CdG) is an evolutionary design of previous g eneration. It is based on an all digital, computer based system, more particularly in order to: - improve the Man-machine Interface, - impro ve the operational efficiency, - lower the building cost and favor the maintenability. On the other hand, the operating philosophy has minim al changes to the current generation reactor.
