Abstract
The chiral null model is a generalization of the fundamental string an d gravitational wave background. After dimensional reduction the 4-D f ield content is given by the metric, torsion, dilaton, a moduli field and 6 gauge fields. This model is self-dual, exact and near the singul arities asymptotically free. The relation to known IWP, Taub-NUT and r otating black hole solutions is discussed.
