Abstract
The major metabolite of the Philippine sponge Oceanapia sp, is the and microbial alkaloid oceanapamine [1], which was isolated as a trifluor oacetate salt, The structure and the absolute configuration of oceanap amine, which consists of a monocyclic sesquiterpene attached to a hist amine residue, were elucidated by interpretation of spectroscopic data .
