Vm. Kogan et al., COMPARATIVE-STUDY OF SULFIDE NI-MO CATALYSTS, SUPPORTED ON GAMMA-AL2O3 AND ACTIVATED CARBON BY USING RADIOISOTOPE S-35, Bulletin des Societes chimiques belges, 104(4-5), 1995, pp. 303-309
Using radioactive isotope S-35 a comparative study of C- and Al2O3-sup
ported MoS2 catalysts promoted by Ni in hydrodesulfurization of thioph
ene has been performed. Ni content varied from 0 up to 3.5%. Promotion
effect on thiophene conversion and catalyst sulfide sulfur mobility h
as been studied. C-supported catalysts have been found to have higher
catalytic activity than analogous alumina-supported ones. Active site
productivity in both C- and Al2O3-supported catalysts is the same but
the number of active sites in the former is larger than in the latter.
