Abstract
We evaluated 44 patients with carpal tunnel syndrome and performed his tological evaluations of tenosynovium taken at the time of carpal tunn el release. Age, disease and work history, radiographs, and outcome we re assessed. The clinical parameters were then compared with the histo logic features to determine if the histology was predictive of the cli nical course of carpal tunnel syndrome. We found no significance in th e histologic changes in patients with carpal tunnel syndrome when age, duration of symptoms, work history, radiographs, and outcome were eva luated.
