R. Miyagawa et al., BACUO2 SINGLE-CRYSTAL SYNTHESIS AND ITS APPLICATION TO HIGH T-C SUPERCONDUCTOR THIN-FILM, Synthetic metals, 71(1-3), 1995, pp. 1625-1626
A technique for obtaining BaCuO2 large crystals has been developed by
the pulse heating method. The results are insured by controlling heter
ogeneous nucleation process and exclusion of latent heat. The impuriti
es leaking out from the sample with a liquid phase through a sintering
process at 980 degrees C is unique among the crystallographic process
. The large BaCuO2 crystals successfully grow in the case of low final
temperature in the furnace. The obtained BaCuO2 crystal is applied to
the substrate for the thin film by reactive diffusion method. The c-a
xis of the thin film is oriented perpendicular to the surface of the B
aCuO2 crystal.
