Electro-physical characteristics of brominated pitch-based carbon fibe
rs (CF) have been measured in the 10-300 K temperature range. The room
-temperature electrical resistivity of these fibers has decreased by a
factor of 7 relative to their initial state. The temperature dependen
cies of tile resistance for both initial and Br-2-treated CFs turned o
ut to be similar. The temporary stability of the brominated fibers res
istance was monitored over one month. Thermal stability of Brl-treated
fibers in 25-800 degrees C temperature range has been studied by TGA-
method.
