Abstract
An efficient and convenient method for the preparation of conjugated a nd highly sterically hindered dicyanoethylenephenol derivatives was de scribed. The corresponding blue phenoxyl radicals were generated from the oxidation of the dicyanoethylenephenol precursor with alkaline K3F e(CN)(6) in benzene.
