J. Morgado et al., PROPERTIES OF THE ORGANIC CONDUCTOR (TMTSF)(2)NI(THT)(2) - RELATION TO THE METAL BIS-DISELENOLATE ANALOGS, Synthetic metals, 71(1-3), 1995, pp. 1943-1944
The preparation of (TMTSF)(2)Ni(tht)(2), tht=thiete or [bis(trifluorom
ethyl)ethylene] dithiolate, single crystals and their preliminary char
acterization by electrical resistivity, thermopower, EPR and magnetic
susceptibility are reported. The transport properties indicate a metal
lic behaviour at high temperatures (sigma(RT)approximate to 50 S/cm, S
-RT=1 mu V/K) and a metal to insulator transition at 69 K. The overall
behaviour is similar to that previously reported for the beta-phase o
f the selenium analogues (TMTSF)(2)M(tds)(2). M=Ni and Pt.
