Single crystals of the new molecular metal (Per)(2)Au(i-mns)(2) were o
btained by electrocrystallization. The electrical conductivity is appr
oximate to 300 S/cm at 300 K and presents a broad maximum at ca. 50K.
The thermoelectric power, S(RT)approximate to 36 mu V/K, decreases alm
ost linearly with temperature upon cooling down to 115 K, confirming t
he metallic properties at high temperature. The EPR signal consists on
a single line (Delta H(PP)approximate to 1G and g approximate to 2.00
4 at 300K) ascribed to the delocalized electrons in the perylene chain
s, in agreement with the Pauli-like behaviour of the static magnetic s
usceptibility ((chi p)approximate to 2.4x10(-4) emu/mol).
