The multilayer film of self-assembled fullerene-diaminododecane (DAD)
were prepared on 4-aminobutyldimethylmethoxysilane (ABS)-modified plan
ar Si oxide, quartz and nonplanar fumed silica (Cab-O-Sil) surfaces by
a novel approach. FTIR, UV, and ellipsometry was used to characterize
the formed films. The film growth was observed indirectly by several
data, but the structure of C-60-DAD multilayer films is not clearly de
termined yet. The formation of the C-60-DAD layer on ABS-modified Cab-
O-Sil surface is slow and strongly depends on the packing density of i
nitially anchored ABS-fullerene monolayer as compared planar substrate
.
