Abstract
A new photo and electroluminescent polymer was prepared in which conju gation was confined to pendant chromophoric groups linked to every phe nyl group of a polystyrene chain, namely poly(stilbenyl-p-methoxy styr ene). The polymer is soluble, with good film forming properties and em its a blue light when used as the active layer of a LED, with a spectr al maximum peaking at 450 nm.
