MOLDING OF RESINS WITH IMPREGNATION OF A REINFORCING LAYER

The problem of flow of a liquid above a porous layer with impregnation of this layer is considered. This flow scheme can be considered, in p articular, as a model of impregnation molding with formation of a rein forced composition. The scheme is applicable to molding of plastisols and low-viscous oligomers (resins). A problematic flow in a feeding ru nner is described by the Navier-Stokes equation and in a porous layer by the Darcy equation. The problem is solved by a computer method and the results of calculations are discussed.
