Abstract
The molecular structures of the tris(3-t-butyl-5-methylpyrazolyl)hydro borato derivatives of copper and thallium {[Tp(But,Me)]CU}(2), [Tp(But ,Me)]CuCl and Tl[Tp(But,Me)], have been determined by X-ray diffractio n. Comparison of these structures with those of {[Tp(But)]Cu}(2), [Tp( But)]CuCl and Tl[Tp(But)] demonstrates the structural role that alkyl substitution at the remote 5-position of the pyrazolyl group may play in modifying the coordination environment about a metal centre.
