J. Lacourt, CONTRIBUTION TO THE WORLD REVISION OF THE TENTHREDININAE SUBFAMILY (HYMENOPTERA, TENTHREDINIDAE), Annales de la Societe entomologique de France, 32(4), 1996, pp. 363-402
In this note, the author : 1) re-etablishes the genera Cuneala Zirngie
bl and Murciana Lacourt and shows, with help of new characters that th
ey are different from genus Elinora Benson with which they have been s
ynonymised recently; 2) regards subgenera Cephaledo Zhelochovtsev and
Zonuledo Zhelochovtsev as good genera; 3) shows that tribe Sciapterygi
ni is heterogeneous and must be modified, by regrouping genera Elinora
Benson, Cuneala Zirngiebl, Murciana Lacourt, Zonuledo Zhelochovtsev,
Sciapteryx Stephens, Paratenthredo Taeger and Elinopsis Lacourt; genus
Tyloceridius Malaise must be transferred near Rhogogaster Konow; 4) c
reates a new tribe Cephaledinini only for genus Cephaledo Zhelochovtse
v, which ensures transition between ELinorini and Tenthredinini; 5) sh
ows that Rethrax Cameron and Tenthredella Rohwer are not synonymous, a
nd must be regarded like genera; 6) creates two new subgenera, Endotet
hryx n. subgen. and Rhodettenyx n. subgen., inside genus Tenthredo L.;
7) shows that Fethalia Cameron is a subgenus of Tenthredo L. making a
transition between Tenthredo and Jermakia Jakovlev; 8) creates a new
genus, Sainiella n. gen. for Allantus felderi Radoszkowsky, 1872 from
south eastern Asia; 9) regards genus Flagellaria Saini et al. as a syn
onym of Beldonea Cameron and isolates this genus in a new tribe, Beldo
neini and a new subfamily, Beldoneinae, which has some affinities with
Selandriinae; 10) creates a new genus, Cytisogaster n. gen. for the R
hogogaster of the species-group picta; 11) asks questions about genus
Pachyprotasis in south-eastern Asia; 12) shows that genus Aglaostigma
Kirby is very heterogeneous and with help of penis valve and host-plan
t, that it can be subdivided, at least, into three subgenera, Macrophy
opsis Enslin being a good genus; 13) regards genus Colochela Malaise,
1937 as a synonym of Neocolochelyna Malaise, 1937 after study of the t
ype of Colochela rufidorsata Malaise, 1937; 14) establishes that nearc
tic genus Dimorphopteryx Ashmead, always placed before in Emphytinae (
= Allantinae), is in fact very closely related to Armitarsus Malaise f
rom Japan, and isolates these two genera inside a new tribe: Dimorphop
terygini; 15) creates a new subfamily : Sioblinae, ensuring transition
between Emphytinae (= Allantinae) and Tenthredininae, which consists
of four tribes: Sioblini Takeuchi, Dimorphopterygini n. trib., Athloph
orini n. trib. and Conaspidiini n. trib.; 16) establishes a provisiona
l classification of subfamilies Tenthredininae, Beldoneinae and Siobli
nae.
