Abstract
An immunochemical method for simultaneous analysis of cross-reacting a nalytes is presented. We demonstrate the general principle using triaz ine herbicides as the model system. The analysis is based on a combina tion of individual enzyme immunoassays (immunoarray) for triazine herb icides using antibodies with different cross-reactivity patterns towar ds the selected analytes. The assay signals obtained can be mathematic ally evaluated to estimate concentrations of each analyte out of a ter nary or quaternary mixture. The mathematical model utilizes an extensi on of the empirical four parameter log-logistic fit. Using mono- and p olyclonal antibodies it was possible to quantify the four analytes atr azine, simazine, cyanazine, and prometon in the low to sub-ppb range s imultaneously.
