Abstract
Glycerolethers, glycerolesters, and glycerolacetals are useful compone nts in gasolines. A selection of these derivatives and their gasoline tests are discussed. Particularly the mixture of ethers from glycerol and isobutene is interesting. Its blend octanenumber is comparable wit h the value of other oxygenates e.g. MTBE.
