Abstract
In this paper a production technique is described for the application of glass coatings on diverse substrates, more particularly bioglass co atings on titanium. The glass is synthesized from base chemicals in a plasma torch and is applied as a coating in the same operation. In thi s way well-adhering coatings with controlled composition and amorphici ty are obtained. Adhesion strengths above 40 MPa are easily obtained. (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Limited.
