Pg. Kazansky et al., BLUE-LIGHT GENERATION BY QUASI-PHASE-MATCHED FREQUENCY-DOUBLING IN THERMALLY POLED OPTICAL FIBERS, Optics letters, 20(8), 1995, pp. 843-845
Periodically patterned second-order nonlinearities are created in opti
cal fibers by thermal poling in vacuo. Cw quasi-phase-matched frequenc
y conversion to the blue is demonstrated. The measured bandwidth, 0.78
nm cm, is close to the theoretical prediction.
