Abstract
In response to Houweling and Siccama (1993), twenty-two assertions abo ut the long cycle perspective are delineated and discussed. Sixteen ar e judged to be wrong. Four are only partially correct or misleading wh en taken out of context. While criticism can be quite useful, this cri tique appears to have little merit.
