Abstract
In certain cases the [2,3]-Wittig sigmatropic rearrangement of distann yl- and silylstannyl-substituted diallyl ethers is followed by a spont aneous anionic oxy-Cope rearrangement, the two reactions can be cleanl y separated if the conditions are carefully chosen.
