Abstract
A simple and efficient synthetic method for the preparation of alkyl H -phosphonate monoesters has been developed. The method consists of tra nsesterification of commercially available diphenyl H-phosphonate with an appropriate alcohol under mild conditions, followed by ammonolysis of the in situ formed dialkyl and alkyl phenyl H-phosphonates.
