Abstract
Total locking of two optically coupled and periodically pumped (includ ing chaotic pumping) lasers is demonstrated theoretically. It is shown that such locked lasing is described by an equation for one equivalen t laser. The constant difference between the field phases is found exp licitly. The detuning range in which locked lasing can be retained is also determined.
