Abstract
Chaotic lasing regimes were observed for a CO2 laser with small-amplit ude modulation of pumping when the modulation frequency was twice the frequency of relaxation oscillations. The period-doubling limits deter mined experimentally were in agreement with calculations. The asymmetr y of the doubling windows relative to the central transition frequency was accounted for.
