Abstract
LATEX paint in water solution applied to newly planted conifer seedlin gs was found to prevent damage by Hylobius abietis adult weevils for t he whole season. Treatment of the basal third of the trunk was suffici ent. Also, utilisation of the results as a model for deer-antifeedant treatments and protection against the weevils is recommended.
