An expression for the distribution function of the phase difference be
tween two signals affected by slow and nonselective Nakagami fading an
d perturbed by additive Gaussian noise is derived. The effects of both
signal distortion and noise correlation induced by the receiver filte
r are accounted for. The derived distribution function is used to calc
ulate the symbol error rate of M-ary differential phase-shift keying s
ignals.
