Abstract
The extent of loss in seed yield of pea due to powdery mildew, Erysiph e polygoni (DC) was studied. The plant characters studied were higher in the protected crop. The loss in seed yield ranges from 5.37 to 50.9 8% depending upon the variety. The early maturing variety 'Arkel' may be preferred over the medium maturity varieties like VL-I and Bonnevil le for seed production in the hot valleys.
