Abstract
Aphanolejeunea winkleri, a new species of Aphanolejeunea from Costa Ri ca, is described. Its diagnostic features are: well developed leaves w ith a small indentation at the postical margin, five-celled mouth of t he lobule connate with and prolongated across the lobe by two lobe cel ls, and intramarginal gemmae, rounded, with smooth margins, leaving an annular structure at the dorsal leaf surface.
