Abstract
The thermoluminescence (TL), optical absorption, and thermoluminescenc e emission of coloured CsBr:Ca2+ and CsCl:Ca2+ crystals are reported. The origin of the TL glow is identified for various glow peaks. The fo rmation of Z(1), and D-1, D-2 centres is confirmed by both TL and opti cal absorption studies. A comprehensive energy level diagram depicting the various TL processes in these Ca2+ doped Cesium halides is propos ed.
