The present paper deals with the numerical solution of the problem spe
cified in Ref. [1], which consists of the determination of the station
ary distribution of disperse particle concentration and pressure with
regard to the hydrodynamic and electrical interaction between the part
icles in the electrophoretic deposit. On the basis of this numerical s
olution a procedure was proposed allowing for the determination of an
approximated analytical expression for the above-mentioned distributio
ns as well as for calculating the position of the boundary between the
stable and coagulated portions of a deposit. The condition when the v
ariation in electrolyte concentration caused by the electric current i
s not essential (the concentration polarization) and deposition occurs
owing to the effect of the accumulative (Hamaker) mechanism and not o
f the electrochemical one were also studied.
