EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF THE MODES C OUPLING PHENOMENON IN AN OPEN RESONATOR EXCITED BY THE ELECTRON FLOW

Results of experimental investigation of the modes' coupling phenomeno n in an open resonator excited by the electron flow are reviewed. The family of spectrum surfaces representing evolution of the modes' coupl ing process from the modes' competition state to the single-mode regim e is presented. It is shown that interaction between space and surface waves leads to the splitting of the excited mode and change of the po wer of interaction between the electron flow and high frequency field of the open resonator.
