Magnetic properties and Fe-57 Mossbauer spectra in amorphous Tb-Fe wer
e measured in the temperature range 300-500 K. The films were prepared
by electron-beam co-evaporation. Interaction of nonspherical Tb ion w
ith neighbouring ions resulted in a small angle between the film norma
l and direction of H-hf. The Mossbauer spectra demonstrated that the f
ilms consisted of three ''magnetic phases'': paramagnetic Fe, ferrimag
netic TbFe with H-hf=100-200 kOe and alpha-Fe with H-hf-333 kOe. The F
e magnetic moment was not associated with the charge transfer from Tb
to Fe. It was due to hybridization of 5d Tb- and 3d Fe-electrons.
