Abstract
In this paper, coupled-mode equations for general bi-anisotropic waveg uides with perfect electrically conducting (PEG) walls are studied and a set of rigorous expressions is obtained. The features of these equa tions are discussed and applications to circular/rectangular Faraday c hiral and chiral waveguides are demonstrated. Comparisons between Fara day chiral, chiral, and ferrite-filled waveguides are also given.
