The nuclear rainbow phenomemon in quasi-elastic processes (inelastic s
cattering, one-nucleon transfer reactions) induced by He-3,He-4 ious o
n deformed target nuclei is discussed. Analyses of He-3 inelastic scat
tering and (He-3,alpha) reaction on Si-30 at 60 MeV have been carried
out, using the parametrized form of the scattering matrix proposed by
the authors in previous papers. We conclude that a more precise defini
tion of the interaction parameters is provided at short distances, abo
ut twice smaller than the strong absorption radius. Refractive and dif
fractive contributions to the differential cross section for inelastic
scattering to the first 2(+) state of the target nuclei are separated
