Za. Gurskii et al., CONTRIBUTION OF RANDOM-FIELD FLUCTUATION EFFECTS TO THE ELECTRICAL-RESISTANCE OF LIQUID-METALS, UKRAINSKII FIZICHESKII ZHURNAL, 39(3-4), 1994, pp. 367-373
Owing to the topological disorder in liquid metals the square of the p
seudopotential matrix element averaged over configurations contains a
term that can not be represented as a product of factors characterizin
g separatly the metal structure and the individual ion scattering prop
erties. This term is related to the random field spectral function. A
way to determine this function within the model pseudopotentials (MP)
formalism is proposed. The theoretical results are exemplified by the
MP spectral function calculations for liquid Mg, Zn, Al and Cu. The co
ntributions of the MP fluctuating term to electrical resisitance of th
ese metals are analized.
