ALCOHOL AND ADOLESCENTS

Alcohol use has persisted over time as the number one drug problem amo ng youth in the United States. Many primary care physicians underestim ate the seriousness and prevalence of teenage alcohol use. The epidemi ology of alcohol use among adolescents is discussed, as are its danger s and society's attitudes toward drinking. The effects of alcohol on a dolescents are listed. Several types of alcoholism are discussed.
