Abstract
Vesical leiomyoma is the most common tumor among the rare benign tumor s of the bladder. The symptoms are more or less the same as for malign ant tumors: dysuria is frequent. Depending on the size of the tumor an d its localization obstructive symptoms due to compression of neighbou ring organs (urinary tract, intestine) can occur. The presentation of two cases of vesical leiomyoma demonstrates the principles of differen tial diagnosis and therapy: One patient was treated by tumor enucleati on because of the small size of the tumor, the other patient underwent radical cystectomy and continent urinary diversion due to tumor volum e.
