Cross sections were measured by the stacked-foil technique over the en
ergy range of 2-36 MeV for He-3-particle induced nuclear reactions on
natural Ni leading to the formation of Zn-62.65, Cu-60.61, Ni-56.57, C
o-55.56.57.58, Fe-52.53 and Mn-52. The measured excitation functions w
ere considered regarding their potential use as monitor reactions. Sev
eral reactions appear to be suitable for monitoring beam energy and in
tensity: their cross sections were cross-checked with a few well-known
He-3 monitor reactions on Cu and Ti.
